I stumbled across your post at scriptographer re: the “color blind” test — it would be amazing if you could put that script together! I’ve been looking for something like it for ages… I know very little about how you’d go about writing it, but I think the concept would be to define a “holding shape” and then define “smaller shapes” to populate the interior of the “holding shape” with no overlap of the interior “smaller shapes.”

I have been meaning to post about something like this on my website and this has given me an idea. Thank you.
Hi, David!
It looks like this site has a plugin that “resolves conflicts between overlapping symbols,” but for some reason, it looks like it’s only compatible with Windows?…
The PDF: http://www.ika.ethz.ch/plugins/en/irregular_pattern_plug_in.pdf
The site, with downloads: http://www.ika.ethz.ch/plugins/index.html
I see this script being incredibly useful for executing color blind tests, and even these “amalgamation” logos like Unilever (http://www.farmland.org/images/UnileverLogo.JPG)
Would love to hear your ideas.
Thanks!
Laura
